The Heartland Coin Club was established in May 1962, as a non-profit organization, by founder and first President, Owen Henry Bela.  The Heartland Coin Club has the largest membership of the seven San Diego County Inter-Club Numismatic Council Clubs.

The Heartland Coin Club is an active member of the California State Numismatic Association, CSNA, the American Numismatic Association, ANA, and the Numismatic Association of Southern California, NASC, as well as the San Diego County Inter-Club Numismatic Council.

Over these years, many collectors, both young and old, have enjoyed the exciting events that take place at the Heartland Coin Club, such as lectures, show and tells, coin raffles and auctions.  The Club also conducts two important local Coin Shows throughout the year.

The Heartland Coin Club meets on the third Wednesday of the month, except in February and December, at the City of El Cajon, Bostonia Center, 1049 Bostonia Street in El Cajon.
