Additional Infomation
The Shreveport Coin Club purpose is to promote interest in, and knowledge of, the hobby of coin collecting. In our monthly meetings we share information about coins, recount our recent "finds," and buy, sell and auction coins, tokens, medals, stamps - you name it. We also contribute books, videos and related materials to local libraries and public schools. The clubs biggest undertaking is the annual ARK-LA-TEX Coin, Stamp & Card Exposition, which takes place on a weekend in July. As the name inplies, our exhibitors deal in not only coins and currency, but stamps, sports cards, and other distinctive collectibles. The only requirements for membership in the Shreveport Coin Club are an interest in numismatics (including coins, currency, tokens and related items), and modest annual dues. We meet every fourth Tuesday evening at a local library (different meeting dates are sometimes scheduled to avoid conflicts with major holidays). Visit our website for more information and changes in meeting dates and locations. You can also ask to subscribe to our newsletter. |
