The South Shore Coin Club (SSCC) is a non-profit, educational organization which was founded in 1963. The SSCC is one of the largest numismatic organizations in Milwaukee area devoted to the study of money. The purpose of the organization is to educate its members and the general public about the exciting hobby of numismatics. Through its monthly meetings and educational programs, the society's members and visitors learn about coins, tokens and paper money. The SSCC annually supports a Boy Scout Coin Collecting Merit Badge Clinic every spring which assists between 75 and 100 scouts from S.E. Wisconsin obtain their Coin Collecting Merit Badges every year. SSCC members have set-up educational numismatic exhibits at banks and libraries in the local Milwaukee area to promote numismatics, and the American Numismatic Association's National Coin Week, which is held every spring.

Club meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of every month (except July and August) in the basement of the Rectory (parish office) at St Roman's Parrish 1710 W. Bolivar Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin (West Bolivar Ave. at S. 20th Street). Meetings are open to all members and visitors interested in learning about coins, paper money, medals and tokens. There are about ten (10) steps to get to the meeting room; sorry no elevator is available for those with limited abilities. Parking is available adjacent to the rectory. Club meetings consist of a business portion, member exhibits, a refreshment break, and an educational program. Click on the Events tab on the left to see our next meeting program topic.
