The Crescent City Coin Club was incorporated as a non-profit organization under the laws of the State of Louisiana on November 15, 1962.

The purpose of the club is to provide an atmosphere for the exchange of information concerning all areas of numismatics (the art and science of coin collecting... but it also includes collecting currency, medals, and tokens).

The club holds monthly meetings for the general membership where educational programs are presented, door prizes are handed-out, occasional actions are held, and there is always time to socialize with other numismatists, both young and old.

In addition to the monthly meetings, the club sponsors several coin shows annually.

Meetings are on the third Thursday of the month.
