Gold Rush Gallery's founder, Al Adams, started Al Adams Rare Coins in 1968. Over the years, Al began to specialize in gold coins, particularly those of the Dahlonega Branch Mint (1839-1861) and to expand from coins into a variety of Gold Rush collectibles, memorabillia, and ephemera. To encompass this expansion, the company was rechristened Gold Rush Gallery.
