Like most people who collect currency, I started out collecting coins as a very young man in the 1960s as a young kid in downtown Ft. Worth, Texas. I was raised in the Major Ripley Arnold Government Housing Projects in downtown Ft. Worth and worked the streets and bars after school shinning shoes for a quarter and selling stolen news papers for a nickel. When business was slow, I would visit an old coin shop downtown in the old Flat Iron building in Ft Worth, Texas. I spent a lot of time in there learning about coins from a very nice old gentleman. He would sell me Indian Head pennies for a nickel. He wanted a whopping $69.00 for an uncirculated 1909-S VDB penny. I couldn’t believe it, a years worth of shinning shoes! I went about for years looking at all my pocket change for that proverbial “Holy Grail” 1909-S VDB penny. I must admit, I never found one. But from that point on, I was hooked for life on collecting. Throughout my years, I’ve always enjoyed collecting things, rare autographed photos, neon signs, coins, cigarette lighters, Lake Houses and now US Currency. The first currency note I ever bought was an 1869 $50 Rainbow in in a CGA VF-20 holder and I paid $15,600 for it off eBay. I have bought and sold this note 3 different times.

I consider myself a very studious, knowledgeable and avid collector/investor of United States Currency. Some investors put their money in art, coins, real estate, gold and other valuable collectibles. I chose US currency because of the beauty and history behind every currency note that tells a unique and interesting story of our Nations past. I am a serious trivia history buff by nature.

Over the years I have acquired quite an extensive collection of over 2,500 selected small size and large size US Currency notes. Some of them are quite unique and rare; and some are of the more common types as well. Most of my collection has come from some very helpful and knowledgeable currency dealers and collectors whom I have become very close friends with over the years. I attend and "set-up" at 15-20 of the major currency shows and auctions across the United States and have bought notes from and resold to just about every major currency collector known.

My speciality is buying and selling $5,000 and $10,000 bills. Over the past 14 years I have been the largest buyer and reseller of these notes in the US. Ive personally bought and sold over 100 $5,000 and $10,000 bills. I have a new book due out in mid 2014 on the "History and Census of the US $5,000 and $10,000 bills". I have been working over 12 years on this book and Im really excited to be close to finishing it.

During the last 14 years, I have had the priviledge in helping to assemble some of the finest and largest currency collections known. I will not mention any names, but some of them have come across the auction block in recent years. I enjoy this as a fellow collector and dealer.

Along the way I acquired a intense interest in the 1928 and 1934 $5,000 and $10,000 Federal Reserve Notes. I have since become the largest buyer and seller of the bills in the United States. I have purchased and resold over 64 of the 100 Binion $10,000 bills alone, some of them 3 and 4 times. I lso maintain the official census of the $5,000 and $10,000 bills with a lot of data on each one. My new book is due out in 2014 or as soon as I can strike a deal with a decent publisher.

While looking through some of my collection of notes, I have decided to sell off some of my duplicates and other notes that I no longer have any interest in and to continue purchasing notes that intrigued me. I love "STAR NOTES”. I also maintain the official census for the currency market for all $500* and $1,000* star notes. I also maintain the census for the $5,000, and $10,000 notes as well as the census of all 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Note Stars, commonly known as Brown Seals. I will be publishing my third edition (2014) of the 1929 FRBN Stars very soon.
