The Time Machine was conceived and started in 1967 by Mark E. Reid, Ed. D.  The official title of the business, The Time Machine was selected in 1973 because it represented my interest in history.  To me, coins bust express that interest by being a physical representation of history and time.  In addition to numismatics, I was to serve as an educator on a local, regional and national level.  The combination of education and numismatics gave me a unique perspective on both.  

In the early days, I concentrated on the coins of the United States and rest of the world.  But my interest in history enticed me to gravitate to Classical and Medieval coins and artifacts while I still enjoy later issues.  Today our business model includes major and regional trade shows, national trade shows and a distinct presence on the Net.  In fact, we were the first to offer auctions of ancient coins on the Net.  We attend most of the major shows in the US and many in Europe.  We are present at all times on Vcoins.com, we hope you will visit us there.
