- American Silver Eagles
- Canadian Maple Leafs
- South African Krugerrands
- Austrian Philharmonics
Taxable exceptions
Idaho sales tax does apply to:
- Commemorative medallions, tokens, and similar items that are not legal tender.
- Coins or currency sold to be incorporated into jewelry or works of art.
- Decorative items (such as belt buckles or necklaces) containing coins or bullion.
Paper currency
Sales of paper currency that is legal tender (such as U.S. notes or foreign banknotes) are generally treated as exempt under Idaho's rules regarding coins and other currency.
